How is it?

“How is it having a boy?”, if I had a dollar for every time I hear that question, I’d be able to call myself a middle classed American.  There are a few things that I would suggest any new mother of a boy should know and they are:

1. He has a penis.  It’s a boy!

2. Keep your mouth closed when changing a diaper.

3. Keep your diaper changing tools very close when changing a baby boy.  Diaper, check.  Wipee going over the penis as soon as you open the diaper, check.  Raincoat, check.  If you do not have any of these things present, you will feel as if you have failed at a game of Jenga, only with urine all over your face.

4. Baby hard ons… They don’t mean anything, but still so uncomfortable to see your baby with a boner.  Just don’t look for too long and remember what I said in number 2.

5. They’re not as smart as baby girls but we knew that already because Who run the world?

6. Boys are a lot more daring than girls.

7. Shopping for a boy is no where near as fun as shopping for a girl.

8. Boys love the outdoors which sucks for me because I hate nature. “Go outside mommy?” AHHHH!

9. Boys are sweet, love to cuddle and perfect so soak it all in for as long as you can.

10. Ain’t nobody got time for 10, I have to go change a diaper.

  1. You are HILARIOUS my lady! ^_^

We’ll be having a boy (due this August) and you had me ROFL & horrified at the same time!

Lovely blog, I’ll be sure to keep on checking in 😉

  2. You had me in tears! I’m having a boy, (any moment now). And you have voiced all of my fears! I’m as girly as one can be, looking forward to raising this little munchkin. Love your blog!

    • Congratulations on your baby boy! I’m also very girly and have to say that my best accessory yet is my little guy walking by my side. Enjoy him and keep your mouth closed at all times. Thanks for reading!
