All I wanted

All I wanted was one good picture.  Just one.  The anxiety my family makes me go through to take a picture is unreal.  This past Sunday we went to see fireworks and all I wanted was one picture.  One picture with my husband and children facing me while the glorious fireworks were in the background.  It was like my inner Annie Leibovitz had this vision that HAD TO HAPPEN.  It did not because, well, I’m not Annie Leibovitz and my models were not getting paid for this shoot so they were not cooperating.  Like, at all.

Here is the timeline of our photo shoot.

“Guys!  Okay, Cheeese!”

"Sophia, stand beside your sister."

“Sophia, stand beside your sister.”

"I don't want to touch her!"

“I don’t want to touch her!”

"I don't want to stand next to Sophia, she smells bad."

“I don’t want to stand next to Sophia, she smells bad.”

"Penny hit me!"

“Penny hit me!”

"Sophia hit me!"

“Sophia hit me!”

As good as it is going to get...
