Dear Santa, welcome to my world. I have had an advanced copy of Santa’s Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas by DK Simoneau and David Radman in my hands for a little while now and have been reading it over and over and over again. This book tells us what happens to Santa on the night before Christmas when everything just goes wrong. It all starts with Mrs. Claus not feeling well and then the purple ish hits the fan.
This book gives us another spin on Santa. The usual jolly and chilled man is completely frazzled, he’s stressed, he is probably in great need of a Xanax but like most Christmas stories, everything turns around in the end and Christmas goes on without a hitch. The illustrations by Brad Cornelius are marvelous and truly entertaining to look at. Santa’s Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas is a great story and is already the winner of a Moonbeam Children’s Book Gold Medal for 2014 as well as a finalist in the USA Best Book Awards 2014. I love receiving books as gifts for my children because I know that a good story will impact them forever AND that it will not take up much space in my house AND that a book can be passed down from generation to generation.
My family has really enjoyed Santa’s Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right and I am certain that once you add it to your collection of books, your family will too.
