Birds do it… Dogs do it… Even people in the park, do it. How do they do it? I don’t know. I don’t know, they just doooo itttt! I am so excited and I just can’t hide because it (finally) smells like spring. Farewell heavy boots, hello ballerina flats. Here are my 7 favorite things to circulate back into my wardrobe come spring.
I love a good pair of booties. Especially the ones that do not require me to paint all 5 of my toenails. A great pair of booties can be worn with boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, tea length skirts and dresses. The possibilities are endless. My favorite pair of booties right now are these by Kristin Cavallari (Ste-phen).
2. Light Leather Jacket
I drive a minivan, I carpool and there are more DVDs in my car than there are in my home. Something has to make me feel a little bad ass. I love a light leather or faux leather motorcycle jacket, even if I actually use it as a minivan jacket. My favorite faux leather jacket is from Zara. Not only is it pretty bad ass but it is also under $100.
Blazers are my life. Everyone knows I love a blazer. They turn anything from bum to chic. Except for maybe sweatpants… Not sure if that will go down well. I have this cut by Zara in many colors (you will soon learn that I pretty much live in Zara). I can’t ever say no to a good deal and stripes, especially when those two are made into a blazer. Sheinside has this great style available that is priced very right.
I will only splurge on a few things. Sunglasses are one of those few things. It’s important to protect your eyes because the more you squint, the more wrinkles you get. Helllerrr?! What did you think I was going to say? Pay a little more on a classic pair of sunglasses like Ray Ban Aviators. They will be around forever and they will cost less than botox. Win/Win
Flowy dresses, maxi dresses are the best and there is no better time of the year to wear them. I love stocking up on dresses from Old Navy, Forever 21 and SheInside. Cost effective, will last me through the summer and I don’t have to think about what to wear. I just throw on a dress and sandals and I am done for the day.
7. White Jeans
Wear what after Memorial Day? F-that, I’m a G. Its 2015 and you are lucky that my flat rear-end held off this long. I mean, I have not wore my white jeans since September. That’s right, after Labor day…I’m a rebel…. who drives a minivan… In a motorcycle jacket.
